Location:

It is located in the central part of the Republic of Yemen, between latitudes (75 - 13) and (5 - 14) and longitudes (43 - 45) east of Greenwich. It is 193 km from the capital, Sana'a (see the governorate's tourist map). The governorate is connected to Dhamar Governorate to the north, Taiz Governorate to the south, Ad Dali' and Al Bayda Governorates to the east, and Al Hudaydah Governorate to the west.

Among the landmarks of Jablah are the Queen's Mosque and the historic waterwheel, whose waterwheels descend from the mountains and supply the entire city with fresh water.
